db recommends: González Byass UK portfolio tasting 2022

After a two year break, the González Byass UK portfolio tasting is back on Tuesday 14 June from 10am-4pm in the new venue of the IET in Savoy Place.

The event will showcase the breadth of brands distributed by the family-owned company, as well as masterclasses and the innovative use of technology to showcase González Byass’ commitment to sustainability.

Highlights from Jerez will include:

  • Newly released 1975 vintage sherry.
  • The latest Tio Pepe en Rama.
  • A masterclass session on innovation in Jerez from Silvia Flores.

There will also be offerings from other aspects of the company’s portfolio, such as:

  • 2021 releases from Zind Humbrecht in Alsace, Achleiten Gruner Veltliner and Riesling from Domane Wachau.
  • Two new prestige cuvées from Champagne Deutz.
  • The newest release Nomad Reserve whisky.
  • A masterclass from Christian Seely from Quinta do Noval on table wines from the Douro and a preview of the 2020 vintage port.
  • A virtual reality tour of Beronia winery in Rioja, the first winery in the world to be awarded Gold status by LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design).
