Disznókő launches Tokaji Aszú collection cases
Disznókő, the largest single vineyard estate in Tokaji, has created three cases of Hungarian sweet wines to offer wine lovers the opportunity to discover a wide variety of Tokaji Aszú wines.
The first, called Discovery of the Great Tokaji (pictured above), is a collection of three Tokaji Aszú styles from different, highly-rated vintages. It will cost £150 in the UK, where it will shortly be available via agents Gonzalez Byass UK.
Discovery of the Great Tokaji contains 1 bottle Disznókő Tokaji Aszú 5 Puttonyos 2013, 1 bottle Disznókő Tokaji Aszú 6 Puttonyos 2015 and 1 bottle Disznókő Tokaji Aszúeszencia 2005.
The other two collections, called Vertical and Mad about Kapi, are available internationally from agents and the vineyard itself.
Vertical contains 1 bottle Disznókő Tokaji Aszú 5 Puttonyos 2017, 1 bottle Disznókő Tokaji Aszú 5 Puttonyos 2016 and 1 bottle Disznókő Tokaji Aszú 5 Puttonyos 2015.
Mad about Kapi contains 1 bottle Disznókő Kapi Vineyard Tokaji Aszú 6 Puttonyos 2005, 1 bottle Disznókő Kapi Vineyard Tokaji Aszú 6 Puttonyos 2011 and 1 bottle Disznókő Kapi Vineyard Tokaji Aszú 6 Puttonyos 2015.
Kapi Disznókő is an extremely rare wine made from a single plot of land called Kapi, located in the upper part of the southern slopes of Disznókő. It is only made in years when the Kapi Vineyard fully expresses its distinctive personality and solely with the most perfect Furmint aszú berries from this parcel. Each bottle is numbered and just four vintages have been produced to date.
The Disznókő estate is a single tract of vineyard with 112 hectares of south, southwest facing slopes planted with local white grape varieties such as Furmint, Hárslevelű and Zéta.
