You can now get paid to be an official cocktail tester for a whole year

If you’ve a discerning palate, can tell your Sex on the Beach from your Pornstar Martini and, most importantly of all, love cocktails, then you could get paid to become an official cocktail tester for 2021.

Official cocktail tester

Dream jobs don’t come around every day, so when they do it’s generally advisable to move quickly.

And that’s exactly what prospective applicants to drinks event company Liquor Lab’s new position will want to do, as it’s been revealed that the company is looking to hire an official cocktail taste tester.

The enviable package includes a year’s supply of cocktails, the chance to taste Liquor Lab’s newest cocktails before they’re released, and £200 to sweeten the deal further (maybe buy yourself some snacks to pad out all the booze!)

Timmy Wright, co-founder and expert mixologist of Liquor Lab said: “We’ve been super busy behind the scenes creating some seriously good Cocktails that people can enjoy from the comfort of their home, but to make sure we are on the right track, we’re looking for a Cocktail expert to put our new creations to the test.

“We are very excited to be opening this job opportunity to one lucky person, and we can’t wait for them to be part of our team.”

To apply, cocktail lovers should write a review of their favourite cocktail, explaining why it stands out. You can find the entry page here.

The job will start in July this year, and applicants should enter before 23 May.

And if you’re looking for summer events to pad out your calendar, you might be excited to learn that Coven Garden is hosting a three-week rosé festival starting in May. Read the full story here.
