Yes, despite weather conditions even the most optimistic of punters would struggle to describe as “cheery” Brits still managed to enjoy a tipple in the great outdoors this bank holiday weekend.

Ahead of the weekend, the Met Office had predicted “changeable” weather.

Brave pub-goers were seen sheltering under umbrellas and outdoor heaters as they refused to let torrential rain dampen their spirits – the novelty of outdoor dining still fresh and undimmed.
