If you’ve been dreaming of getting away for some time now, as coronavirus restrictions persist and many countries remain under stay at home orders, then you’ll doubtless be excited to learn that the Jose Cuervo Express – an 11-hour train ride through the Mexican countryside from Guadalajara to Tequila, Jalisco is back.

Yes, after pausing its service last year, the train journey is back on with four new boozy experiences to choose from. The newest – the Elite Wagon – is decked out with comfortable couches, massive windows for sightseeing and a dedicated open bar, where socially-distanced guests are treated to a special Tequila cocktail menu.

Along the way, passengers can also engage in an expert-led tasting of premium Jose Cuervo products. Regional snacks will also be served during the journey. Trains will depart on Saturdays every two weeks, with tickets costing $166.

The Jose Cuervo Express is operating a reduced capacity service to help keep guests safe and to comply with government restrictions.

Meanwhile, the owner of Jose Cuervo has posted a 20% sales rise. You can read more about that story here.
