Lyre’s appoints new distributor for non-alcoholic spirits portfolio in Singapore

Australian non-alcoholic spirit brand Lyre’s has appointed Octopus to distribute its non-alcoholic portfolio in Singapore.

Launched in Australia in July 2019, Lyre’s non-alcoholic spirits features a range of 13 alcohol-free classic spirits, created using the understanding of food science and flavour architecture.

The brand was created and founded by, Mark Livings, with the mission to provide an alternative to those who don’t wish to imbibe alcohol without sacrificing the flavours of their favourite spirits.

Following the brand’s introduction in Singapore in 2020, Lyre’s continues to expand its local presence with the appointment of Octopus as their distributor.

Livings, CEO of Lyre’s, said, “We are delighted to be working with Singapore’s premiere wine and spirits distributor, Octopus. We can now build on our early success with some of Singapore’s most forward-thinking bars and retailers, and elevate availability and awareness with our new partner.

“This is particularly exciting as the no and low category is approaching broad acceptance throughout Asia, courtesy of Singapore’s leadership in the cocktail space.”

“We are thrilled to partner with such an innovative and socially-conscious company. We already see a movement towards health and wellbeing which has been accelerated by COVID, and are proud to see the Singapore market leading the way in Asia. The no and low category allows drinkers to enjoy social benefits without sacrificing their personal health strategy,” says Matthew Ruscoe, Managing Director of Octopus Distribution Network. “We look forward to adding Lyre’s to our fabulous selection of spirits and mixers, and we are eager to continue growing this exciting brand in Singapore – keep an eye out for alcohol free menus at your favourite bars and restaurants.”

Non-alcoholic alternatives are increasingly gaining traction across Asia, with the no-and-low sector seeing sales rise globally by 506% since 2015, as Nielsen reported in 2020. In September 2020, the brand raised AUD$16 million in seed round funding 18 months after launching.
