TFWA announces management committee

Tax Free World Association (TFWA) has announced a new Management Committee.

The new team was established at an election at the association’s annual general meeting at the start of the month, and will serve a two-year term until October 2022.

TFWA is an association of brands that collectively provide a business platform for the global duty free and travel retail industry to prosper.

A total 35 managers overseeing all aspects of duty rree retail have been appointed to the committee, with eight overseeing wine, spirits and other alcoholic beverages.

They include Philippe de Marcilly from Albert Bichot, Aude Bourdier from Brown-Forman, Barry Geoghegan from Duty Free Global, Violaine Creuzé of Gonzakez Byass, Pier Giuseppe Torresani from Italian wine group Masi, Donatienne de Fontaines-Guillaume of LVMH’s Moët Hennessy wine and spirits division, Oliver Storrie of Quintessential Brands, and Franc Kopatin of Stock International.

“I am delighted to welcome the members of our new Management Committee, and thank them all for their commitment in agreeing to serve TFWA in the years ahead,” TFWA President Alain Maingreaud.

“As we face what is undoubtedly the most challenging time for our business and the industry, it is more important than ever to have a strong leadership team at TFWA. I believe our new Management Committee has the experience and knowledge to help the Association and the wider industry overcome the challenges ahead.”
