Kaigai Fine Wine Asia to hold auction in August

Kaigai Fine Wine Asia has announceed its 28th fine wine and whisky auction, which will be held online next month.

Tokyo-based fine wine distributor Kaigai Fine Wine Asia is going to hold its 28th fine wine and whisky auction online from 3-10 August. The sale has garnered a series of highly collectable Old World wines and Japanese whiskies.

Highlights include the Kiyosato Field Ballet Anniversary Series (25th –29th) made at the Chichibu distillery. The whiskies are a blend of spirit from a 1990 Hanyu original cask, along with a 1982 Kawasaki original cask.

Chichibu Intergalactic Edition 1 & 2 is a set of rare single cask single malts that were crafted by the master distillers at Chichibu, and is part of a joint promotional venture from bars in Vienna and the Netherlands.

Other sale showstoppers include 1960 Yamazaki – The Century, 1976 Louis Roderer Champagne Cristal Rose, and 2009, 2012 & 2015 Comte Liger-Belair Echezeaux Grand Cru.

Taking place concurrently with the wine and whisky auction, Kaigai is also supporting the BirdLife Spring Gala 2020 Internet Auction held on the same platform.

Led by HIH Princess Takamado, BirdLife International is one of the oldest international environmental NGOs in the world, committed to advancing the scientific research of endangered species. The online auction will feature rare wine and sakes such as two bottles of Dassemus Solaris 2017 and Kouzuki Kamuji. The amount raised in the auction will help further advance the organisation’s scientific mission.
