iDealwine to auction ‘unparalleled’ natural wine collection

Online wine auctioneer iDealwine is hosting an “unprecedented” sale featuring a selection of ‘natural’ wines from a single private collection.

Comprised of 1,300 bottles including mature vintages and large formats, the collection has been stored in a cellar in central France.

The collection includes wines from established and in-demand producers (predominantly but not entirely French) who work in biodynamic and ‘natural’ ways such as Overnoy, Ganevat and Domaine des Miroirs from Jura; Prieuré-Roch and Bizot in Burgundy; Domaine de l’Anglore and Thierry Allemand in the Rhône; Selosse and Ulysse Colin from Champagne and Benaudeau and Clos Rougeard in the Loire.

In addition, there are wines from hotly-tipped rising stars such as Domaine de la Cras, Dandelion, La Grapperie, Domaine Lurquin, Domaine des Murmures and Domaine Pedres-Blanques.

Cyrille Jomand, CEO of iDealwine, commented: “These auctions will be particularly coveted by wine enthusiasts as it offers an unprecedented, top-quality selection of the best natural wines of today. What’s more, many of the wines are available in mature, ready-to-drink vintages.

“These references are often produced in limited quantities and are therefore highly difficult to source. Many of the lots are made up of one single bottle. These auctions confirm iDealwine’s ability to offer wine enthusiasts a unique selection of wines: as we like to say, wine lovers use our website to ‘find the unfindable’.”

The auction began on Friday 11 October and finishes on Wednesday 23 October.
