Wine & Spirits Show 2019 launches

Following on from the success of the first show in October, the drinks business and The Spirits Business are proud to announce the launch of The Wine & Spirits Show 2019, with an early bird offer on stands currently available.

The Wine & Spirits Show 2019 will take place on 12-13 April (from 2pm-9pm on 12 April and from 1pm-8pm on 13 April) at the same venue, One Whitehall Place, London.

In October, the inaugural Wine & Spirits Show welcomed more than 1,500 guests (including 350 members of the trade), hosted seven wine masterclasses, six spirits masterclasses and poured around 500 types of wine, 200 spirits and 45 brands of beer.

It marked the first collaborative event hosted by the drinks business and sister magazine The Spirits Business, bringing the world of wine and spirits together under one roof.

The show was open to the trade and consumers, and featured separate wine and spirits halls, together with a gin and tonic bar and rooms in which masterclasses were conducted.

The wine and the spirits halls both featured a Global Masters zone, showcasing the top medal-winning wines and spirits that have been judged throughout the year as part of the drinks business and The Spirits Business’ Global Masters series.

Both halls also featured a new products zone, showcasing the latest releases in the wine and spirits industries, keeping guests abreast of emerging drinks trends in the market.

Among the exhibitors that took part in this year’s show was Jackie Fast, a former candidate on the popular BBC show The Apprentice, who debuted her Canadian icewine brand, Rebel Pi, at the show.

The Consorzio Delle Venezie DOC, who represent Italian growers in the region, both exhibited and presented a masterclass at the show. Commenting on its experience, a representative stated: “We were 100% satisfied with our experience. It has been a fantastic result for us, presenting to both professionals and consumers. The Wine & Spirits Show is a great event in the heart of London. The organisation is great and people can choose between different products. The show is a brilliant occasion for all those who live in UK to deepen their understanding of the characteristics of our appellation, Pinot Grigio delle Venezie DOC”.

New Zealand Winegrowers, who also took part in the show, added: “We were really pleased; the event had a great feel. It was a lovely venue and the guests were really interested in tasting all the wines. We found the attendees to be very interested in learning about New Zealand and its wine-producing regions. Thank you for a great show – we will be back next year.”

There is currently an early bird offer for those interested in exhibiting. For more information please get in touch with events director Chloé Beral on Chloe@thedrinksbusiness.com
