Ehrmanns partners with Rioja winery Bodegas Palacio
London-based wine supplier Ehrmanns has expanded its Spanish portfolio, partnering with Rioja winery Bodegas Palacio and becoming the exclusive UK agent for its Glorioso and Cosme Palacio wines.
Founded in 1894, Bodegas Palacio forms part of the Grupo Bodegas Palacio, a Spanish wine group which has estates in DOCa Rioja, DO Ribera del Duero, DO Toro, Valladolid and DO Rueda.
It manages 200 hectares of vineyards and is based in Laguardia, Rioja Alavesa.
Stephane Desmarquest, export director at Grupo Bodegas Palacio 1894, said: “Ehrmanns has the strength and expertise we were looking for developing our distribution in the UK. Being part of their portfolio is a great honour for Grupo Bodegas Palacio 1894, and a clear opportunity to position our wines into premium distribution channels”
