Langley’s gin expands into Asia

Langley’s England, producer of English dry gins, owned by Charter Brands, has expanded into Asia with an exclusive five-year distribution agreement with Milestone Beverages, a leading wine and spirits distributor in the region.

The partnership started in April and Langley’s England is the only UK-produced gin that Milestone Beverages will include in its portfolio of international brands.

Mark Dawkins, co-founder of Langley’s England says: “We’ve developed a great presence for Langley’s in both Europe and the US and have been looking at launching into Asia for some time.”

“This is a pivotal moment for the brand as we are carefully approaching each export market with a tailored strategy.

“Following an extensive selection process, Milestone Beverages was the obvious choice as they share our values and showed a great understanding of the Langley’s portfolio. We were convinced by their extensive knowledge, strong relationships and proven track record in a region that is steadily growing but not without its challenges”.

Launched in 2013, Langley’s England includes premium distilled London Dry gin Langley’s No. 8 and Langley’s Old Tom which will be available in its 47% ABV strength in Asia.

Milestone Beverages will continue to follow-through on the brand and sales strategy that is executed worldwide while appointing relevant distributors in selected markets. The team has already secured distribution of the gins in Hong Kong and The Philippines.

Joe Milner, Milestone Beverages’ managing director who previously worked with Diageo, Constellation and Quintessential, commented: “APAC is a region in constant evolution with a growing cocktail culture and high demand for quality, premium spirits and these are ideal conditions for the gins to grow. Langley’s has a strong credibility already and we’re looking forward to further establishing the brand as a key player in the region”.
