What’s the top selling beer in China’s 31* different provinces and cities? We break down the most popular beers province by province, based on the latest report by a Chinese research firm.

Chances are that you probably never heard of Snow beer, a lager originally developed in a joint venture between China Resources and SABMiller. Yet it’s the most ubiquitous and consumed beer in China, the world’s biggest beer market. AB InBev’s Budweiser, as well as Shandong-based Tsingtao Beer, Carlsberg are among brands drunk in almost every province, according to a report by Chinese research company Denghong Yanjiu.

But local breweries such as Lhasa Beer from China’s remote Tibet is a favourite among Tibetans, while Jinxing Beer, produced in the Henan province, and Beijing Yanjing beer made in the Chinese capital, are also popular.

We have rounded up all of the provinces’ favourite beers brands. Click through the pages to see each beer brand’s market share in each province and city.

*The report by the Chinese research company excluded Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan.
