dbHK launches first Asian Beer and Cider Masters 2018

Following the success of The Drinks Business Global Beer Masters, the drinks business Hong Kong is launching the Asian Beer and Cider Masters 2018.

This tasting will identify the finest beers and ciders from around the world and give them unparalleled exposure throughout Asia and globally. Each beer and cider will be assessed blind on its taste, aroma, appearance, and quality by a panel of beer and cider experts, cicerones and senior buyers from the drinks trade.

All entries will be judged according to style and price and will be assessed primarily on the skill of the brewers/cidermakers, regardless of country of origin.

For beer, categories include Ale, Lager, Mixed Fermentation, and Speciality. For cider, categories include Phenolic/Astringent, Acid, Flavoured, Perry and Specialty.

The competition’s top beers and ciders will be awarded medals from Bronze through to Gold, with the ultimate accolade of a “Master” bestowed only upon exceptional examples.

The results will be published in the drinks business Hong Kong magazine, online (Asia and globally) and across all our social media platforms. The results will also be sent out in a newsletter in both English and Chinese.

Medal winners have the chance to receive the most extensive promotion and reach throughout the Asian drinks trade community.
