Bollinger and Heletranz to deliver Champagne by helicopter in New Zealand

Champagne house Bollinger and chartered helicopter service provider Heletranz have now made it possible to order a bottle of fizz to remote luxury villas in New Zealand.

While secluded luxury villas are prized for their privacy, they do make ordering in a bottle of bubbly that bit more difficult.

Spotting a gap in the market, Bollinger and Heletranz have teamed up for what they describe as a “world first Champagne delivery service”.

Whether you’re looking to unwind at your pad in Waiheke Island’s ‘Billionaire’s Bay’ or are experiencing severe Champagne withdrawal on Great Barrier Island, Bollinger and Heletranz have made it their mission to ensure you’re never caught short.

Heletranz owner, Sofia Ambler, has said that the new service will go down well with her high-end clientele.

“New Zealand has an impressive number of high net worth individuals tucked away in its glorious paradisal spots, anywhere from the top of the North Island to Waiheke Island and the Coromandel.

“Many of these luxury accommodation sites are accessed via helicopters and are remote and isolate for added privacy, also increasingly viewed as a luxury on its own. It makes sense for us to offer the missing service of helicopter-delivered top shelf champagne,” she said.

Martin McManus, general manager of Negociants, who distribute Bollinger in New Zealand added: “Bollinger has a 200-year history of creating prestigious Champagnes with character, distinguished by their elegance and complexity. Never taking the easy option, hand riddled reserve magnums and vintage cuvées stoppered with natural corks are the perfect champagne you would want delivered to your doorstep in a helicopter”.
