Gous joins WOSA board
Carina Gous has joined the board of Wines of South Africa (WOSA) as a non-executive chair, taking over from Michael Jordaan.
The appointment was announced at the fourth-term board meeting held earlier this month. Gous replaces financial entrepreneur Jordaan who stepped down in September this year.
Formerly brand director: luxury wines & spirits at South African drinks giant, Distell, Gous is currently a freelance international business consultant and winemaking specialist.
During her time at Distell she managed the group’s portfolio of Scottish and South African spirits and top wine brands such as Nederburg.
WOSA CEO, Siobhan Thompson, said: “I am very excited to work with Carina and draw from her extensive knowledge of the industry and marketing in international markets, in order to help guide the Wines of South Africa strategy.”
