The Flying Winemaker signs deal with Hong Kong’s LKFtv

Eddie McDougall, The Flying Winemaker, has signed another TV deal with LKFtv, the latest television project by Hong Kong’s nightlife mogul Allan Zeman, to promote wine culture in Hong Kong, following his earlier deal with Netflix to air his food and travel documentary series.

The Flying Winemaker was launched by McDougall in 2011 as an events, marketing, and public relations company, based in Hong Kong, with the aim of educating and connecting wine drinkers to winemakers through innovative experiences, classes, and unique channels.

LKFtv, launched by Allan Zeman, chairman of Lan Kwai Fong Group, features Cantonese content that targets young, trendy Hong Kongers.

Speaking of the deal, McDougall said: “I am ecstatic to have the chance to be producing and hosting some exciting and high-energy drinks related content with LKFtv. What’s even more exciting is that it will be all produced in Cantonese which has been an ambition of mine to get involved with content that is targeted to inspire the local Hong Kong audience.

“Yaron Jacobs, the LKFtv producers and I will be working closely together to make sure we get the content formula right so that we produce at the highest caliber whilst telling aspirational stories.”

The first episode of the TV show was broadcast on 19 September.

“LKFtv is about getting the newest and coolest short form videos in Hong Kong to the trendiest audience,” added Yaron Jacobs, CEO of the video website. “Eddie McDougall is the ideal person to host this exciting wine program to our Cantonese speaking audience. This programme takes wine out of the dusty cellars and into the heart of Hong Kong’s vibrant Urban culture.”
