anCnoc releases 2002 vintage single malt

anCnoc Highland Single Malt Scotch Whisky has added a 2002 vintage to range of aged expressions, crafted at the Knockdhu distillery in Aberdeenshire.

Following the release of its 2001 vintage last year, just 1,200 cases of the 2002 vintage will be released, matured in Spanish and American oak casks and matured for over 14 years.

Bottled at 46% and non chill-filtered, the whisky is bright amber in appearance and said to have notes of spicy Christmas cake, liquorice and toffee, spiced vanilla and citrus on the nose. On the palate, notes of chocolate, orange zest dominate, with a hint of leather on the finish.

The 2002 Vintage will be available from 2 May at independent and specialist retailers, including Royal Mile Whiskies, The Whisky Exchange and Master of Malts with an RRP of £65.

anCnoc Highland Single Malt Scotch Whisky is part of the Inver House Distillers portfolio, and is produced at Knockdhu Distillery – established in 1894 – and is one of the smallest distilleries in the Scottish Highlands.
