Over the last 15 years, Bottega has invested heavily in expanding its global presence through travel retail and duty free and is now one of the leading players in the market.

Bottega’s Proseccos are currently on pour on over fifty airlines and have a presence in the leading duty free stores around the world.

In 2016, the sales volume generated by duty free and travel retail increased by 10% year on year.

“I’m very pleased to see that our business in North America continues to grow at a fast pace.

“In Canada, our Bottega sparkling wines, still wines and liqueurs as well as Alexander Grappa more than doubled in 2016 versus 2015 in the airport and border shops on the Canadian side,” said brand owner Sandro Bottega.

“In the USA, our cruise line business continues to grow for our Bottega sparkling and still wines, liqueurs and Alexander Grappa.

“In the airports, DFS features four SKUs and we have new listings of Bottega Gold with Dufry and DFA airport shops plus the DFA Northern Border stores,” he added.

I never understood why people buy those wines, besides buying a label and not a wine… Their wines are below average, there are tens of better Prosecco wines available for a fraction of the price!
