Shower beer can be used as conditioner

A strong beer claiming to be the perfect size for drinking in the shower, that doubles as a conditioner, has been made in Sweden.

Friday night rituals everywhere can now be streamlined to maximum efficiency thanks to a new beer created by Swedish creative agency Snarsk and local brewery PangPang.

With the optimum shower time purported to last just 6 minutes, it’s quite a tall order to chug a full sized beer in such a short length of time.

PangPang has solved this conundrum by creating a (less than) pint sized bottle of double strength beer, at 10% abv. They described it as: “A sweet but strong pale ale in a 18cl small bottle, meant to gulp in three sips.” All the alcohol in half the time.

For the really time pressed, PangPang founder Fredrik Tunedal has also built a hidden feature in to the beer: it doubles as a conditioner. He said: “I designed the recipe so that it can also be used as a conditioner, so if you are into looking good rather than feeling good, I’ve thought of you too. The beer is heavily hopped with Citra, and has a citrusy, soapy, and somewhat herbal profile.”

Speaking to Munchies, Snask founder Fredrik Öst said: “We always loved the concept of drinking beer in the shower, so the idea to create a beer that would be drunk while showering was a must.

“We also wanted to create a beer that would kickstart your night, hence a strong but sweet beer that would be sipped in three to four sips while getting ready to the tunes of Dressed for Success!”

The ‘Shower Beer’ was released last month on a limited run, but after selling out in a matter of days a second batch has been ordered in the hope of it becoming a more permanent fixture.
