Don Q lands in HK

Premium Puerto Rican rum brand, Don Q is now available in Hong Kong and Macau via Sino Vantage Asia.

don-q-lineup

Named after Spanish fictional character Don Quixote, Don Q was founded in 1865 by the Serrallés family who were allowed by the then King of Spain to use the surface water from the Río Inabón which the Serrallés still uses today and accredits to Don Q’s clean expressions.

Kept in the Serrallés family for six generations, Don Q is the leading rum producer in Puerto Rico with 70% market share, and was also used in the world’s first Piña Colada that was made in 1954 in the Caribe Hilton International.

The range comprises its ‘flavors’ range Coco, Mojito, Pasion and Limon with Don Q’s youngest rum aged between 1 to ½ years and then its premium aged expressions –  Añejo from 3-8 years old, Gran Añejo from 9-12 years old and Signature Barrel Release 2005.

Don Q also has its cocktail range, including Cristal which is charcoal filtered and aged in American white oak barrels and Don Q Gold and 151°- a blend of three rums aged up to three years.
