RBHK opens new spirits award category

Restaurant & Bar Hong Kong along with Whisky Ambassador has put the call out for entries for its Best Spirits Award which is open to distributors, whisky bars, hotels and restaurants around the city.

The RBHK Best Spirits Awards aims to recognise spirits distributors who provide high-quality spirits for restaurants, bars and hotels in Hong Kong and will also award the best whisky bar and whisky list in hotels and restaurants that provide customers with the very best selection of whisky available as well as level of brand knowledge.

The entry requirements for distributors is that the spirit has to be available in any Hong Kong bar, restaurant and hotel for the last year and three bottles of each spirit has to be sent for judging.

For hotels, bars and restaurants, entrants need only to provide a full whisky list, detailing the brands that are carried.

The application deadline is Friday, 5 August with any spirits deliveries sent between 8-10 August. Winners will be announced at the awards ceremony on Wednesday, 7 September during RBHK which this year will run from 6-9 September at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre in Wan Chai.
