Domaine-Thomson’s Pinot travels first class
Domaine-Thomson’s Explorer Pinot Noir has been taken on by Cathay Pacific to serve in its first class cabins.
The organic Pinot Noir, which is grown in Domaine-Thomson’s vineyards in Central Otago will be on offer to Cathay Pacific’s first class passengers from now until the end of October.
PM Hall-Jones, co-owner of Domaine-Thomson along with her husband David Hall-Jones said:
“When we started planting the vineyard all those years ago, I never thought that we would one day have our wine served by Cathay Pacific, which had taken on Lynch-Bages (one of my favourite Pauillacs). And now please pinch me, I can’t quite believe it but it’s happening to us!”

Often described by the Hall-Jones’ as a “one grape, two hemisphere adventure,” Domaine-Thomson has vineyards in Central Otago and Gevrey-Chambertin with a focus on making premium Pinot Noir which expresses the terroir of both distinctive sites.
