From August, one of Barbaresco’s oldest producers, Marchesi di Grésy will be available in Hong Kong and South Korea exclusively through Sino Vantage Asia.

Made up four estates situated in the Langhe and Monferrato regions, Marchesi di Grésy has been the property of the di Grésy family since 1650 but bottling has only occurred since 1973.

Its chief estate, the 24 hectare Martinenga in the Langhe near Alba is the only cru monopole in Barbaresco DOCG and is considered to be the producer of some of the best wines in Piemonte.

Made only in favourable vintages, three different Barbaresco bottlings are produced from this vineyard and will be available to the Hong Kong and South Korea markets: Martinenga Barbaresco DOCG; Camp Gros Martinenga Barbaresco DOCG Riserva – a 2.58 hectare southwest facing parcel lying directly under Rabaja and Gaiun Martinenga Barbaresco DOCG, a 2.3 hectare south facing parcel continuing down the hill from Asili.

Sino Vantage Asia, headed up by Herve Leroux in Hong Kong will also carry two other labels from Marchesi di Grésy; Sauvignon Langhe DOC and Monte Colombo Barbera d’Asti DOCG.
