Pub company creates Theresa May ale
Star Pubs and Bars, the pub business of Heineken UK, has created a new beer brew in honour of the new British Prime Minister, Theresa May.

The beer, called Come What May, will be made available on draught in pubs within the new PM’s Maidenhead constituency.
Ahead of May’s first PMQs today (19 July), The Crown and the Old Swan Uppers in Cookham planned to pints of Come What May for its regulars.
Katie Roberts-Smith, licensee of the Old Swan Uppers, said: “Our local MP is now the PM, so of course we’ll be raising a pint.
“We hope she’ll find time in her busy schedule to pop along and have a drink on the house – perhaps she could test her knowledge with the regulars at our monthly quiz night!”
Lawson Mountstevens, MD of Star Pubs and Bars, which own the two pubs and organised the commemorative beer, said he hoped that the gesture might persuade David Cameron’s successor in Number 10 to pay a visit to one of the pubs during her constituency visits.
“We know Theresa May will be very busy over the coming weeks, but hopefully she’ll still have time for an occasional visit to support her local pubs,” he said.
“Our new brew is just for fun, but pubs are at the heart of the community so we hope local residents will pay a visit and toast the new PM!”
Heineken owns around 1,300 pubs through its Star Pubs and Bars business. Its portfolio of brands includes Foster’s, Heineken, Strongbow, Desperados, Kronenbourg1664, John Smith’s and Bulmers.
Theresa May was appointed as PM on Wednesday 13 July after David Cameron tendered his resignation to the Queen.
Within her first two days in the role, May announced a controversial Cabinet and ministerial reshuffle which included appointing Brexit orchestrator Boris Johnson as Foreign Secretary and her rival for the top ministerial job, Andrea Leadsom, as Defra minister.
