Martinique rum brand Rhum JM has won three medals, including the illustrious Master prize, at db‘s sister title The Spirits Business’ Global Rum Masters competition.

Rhum JM, entered into the tough Rhum Agricole division of the competition, secured two gold medals for its V.S.O.P expression and its “Multimillesime ’03-’04-’05 pour respectively.

In addition to this, the brand secured the illustrious Master medal for its aged Rhum JM X.O expression – a rum that has already received praise from elsewhere in the industry having recently been awarded “Best in Show” at the German Rum Festival in Berlin.

Each year in London, The Spirits Business organises the Global Rum Masters competition to reward the best rums in the world. Following a blind tasting by distinguished judges, awards are assigned to the best ranked rums: Bronze, Silver and Gold. One last prestigious award, called “Master”, is offered exclusively to spirits praised by all members of the jury.

Rhum J.M is crafted in the northern part of the French Caribbean island of Martinique since 1845 following the ancestral techniques inherited from its founder, Jean-Marie Martin. The brand is exported in more than 50 countries worldwide and celebrates its 170th anniversary this year.
