The new store is the latest move by the LA wine company following the launch of an auction arm in July last year.

As well as offering one of the largest collections of Bordeaux, Burgundy, Italian, Californian and Spanish wines in the US, the store will also have a wide selection of spirits, cheeses, meats, caviar, chocolates and craft beers.

Chef Ralph Sorocynski has also been hired to cater to lunch and dinner guests with a Provençal-inspired menu.

Over 100 wines will be available by the glass including Opus One, Colgin and Dom Pérignon.

Located at 447 N. Cañon Drive, Beverly Hills, the store will be open seven days a week and serve lunch from 11.30am-3pm and dinner from 5pm to late.

Wally’s also hosted an auction in New York earlier this month which realised US$3.7 million and was just over 90% sold by lot.

Highlights included: six bottles of Domaine du Comte Liger Belair La Romanée 2010 which sold for $23,180 and a full case of the same from the 2012 vintage which made $31,720 as did 14 bottles of Screaming Eagle.

Alongside the usual array of Bordeaux and Burgundy, the sale included strong offerings of Spanish, Italian, German, Rhône and Californian wine.
