Star toasts mega deal with $20k Moët

If you had just signed a deal to play major league baseball for the  Miami Marlins for a reported $325 million – the biggest deal in American sports history –  celebrating with a $20,000 single bottle of Moët seems appropriate.

That is exactly what Giancarlo Stanton did after signing the historic deal, the largest ever agreed to by a single athlete, popping the cork on a limited edition Moët methusalah.

Stanton was seen indulging in a bottle of Moët & Chandon’s Nectar Impérial Rosé Leopard Luxury Edition at Miami hot spot FDR at the Delano Hotel on Monday evening.

Just 60 of the bottles were released by Moët & Chandon in 2013, each of the bottles encrusted with 22-carat gold leaves.

The deal could see the 25-year-old net an astonishing $68,000 per day, if the $325 million was spread out evenly over 13 years.

Despite his new found wealth, he apparently didn’t pay for his celebratory bottle, which was instead purchased by a “well-known Miami party girl named “Julz”, according to TMZ Sports.
