Dynasty to offer wine tribute to Chinese culture at Vinexpo

One of China’s leading winemakers, Dynasty, is unveiling a “tribute to traditional Chinese culture” with a new collection of wines at this month’s Vinexpo in Hong Kong.

The Wisemenship Wine Collection is made up of four wines named after the “Four Noble Ones” of ancient Chinese folklore.

Often depicted as plants, the orchid (called “Elegantia” in the collection), bamboo (“Modesta”), chrysanthemum (“Ravissantia”) and plum blossom (“Fiera”), they represent the most admirable qualities of character and refined skills in Chinese scholarship and thus replicated in Chinese wines of today.

Elegantia is a Merlot “made from an international blend” and aged in oak, while Modesta is also a Merlot but one aged in French oak.

Fiera is a blend of off-dry Muscat, Italian Riesling and Chardonnay and Ravissantia is a Cabernet Sauvignon aged in French oak for 18 months.

“On our 34thanniversary, we look forward to unveiling this classic collection alongside our best premium wines to the international market at Vinexpo Asia-Pacific 2014, sharing the fruit of our dedication to excellence,” said Hao Feifei, chairman and executive director of Dynasty Fine Wines Group.
