For the beer researcher. One of the largest and most accurate databases of beers across the world, RateBeer allows you to follow, RateBeer friends, track their beer choices, recommend beers and add a beer to its database. Search for you favourite brews worldwide and get information on the top rated beers in each country.

2. TapHunter – FREE

For the roving beer drinker. Find out what’s on tap at the best local brewpubs, bars and pubs searching by location, or brewery. View craft beer locations on a map, find out their location, save and rate your favourite beers.

3. Kegulator – £0.69

For the party planner. Planning a keg for an  upcoming party? Use this handy app to figure out how long your keg will last and how much ice you will need to keep it at an acceptable chill. Enter the number of party guests, and how much beer you wish them to guzzle and Kegulator will work out how much many kegs and ice you will need to keep the party going.

4. CAMRA Good Beer Guide – FREE

For real ale lovers and UK pub go-ers. Find pubs in the UK that consistently serve cask conditioned real ale in good condition, as well as information on breweries and beers. This app features full reviews of 4,500 top pubs throughout the UK, as well as details of every real-ale brewery and their regular beers. Note: Free, but with limited functionality. For the social beer drinker. Untapped is a social network for beer lovers allowing users to find nearby craft beers and bars, see what beers are trending, as well as see where your friends are drinking. Access personalised recommendations and use Untapped to record your own tasting notes, take a picture and log your favourite beers and share with like-minded beer lovers. 

6. Craft Beer London – £1.99

 For craft beer drinkers in London. Explore London’s best craft beer pubs, breweries and shops with this guide to the capital’s craft beer. Craft Beer London features maps, listings, reviews and news featuring ratings, photos, reviews, location and contact details and beer recommendations.

7. iBrewmaster – £6.99 ($9.99)
