LWF 2014 already proving popular with exhibitors

The organisers of the London Wine Fair (LWF) have announced 90% of the 2013 exhibitors have already rebooked for next year’s show.

The 2014 LWF, which returns to London Olympia, will take place from Monday 2 June to Wednesday 4 June and 32 out of 35 exhibitors will be returning.

Show director, Ross Carter said: “To have over 90% of bookings within minutes for phase one is unprecedented; we would normally expect this process to take four to five months, so see this as a massive endorsement for next year’s revamped event.”

The fair’s organisers Brintex confirmed that some of the companies who have rebooked include Bancroft, Codorniu, Concha Y Toro, DGB, John E Fells, Kingsland, Treasury Wine Estates and Legacy Wines.

Laura Delooze, marketing manager at Legacy Wines, said: “We have supported the LWF for the past ten years and are looking forward to the 2014 fair already. This year’s event was our most successful yet with an excellent quality of attendees and real business opportunities gained.”

Meg Calas at Seckford Agencies added: “We have always felt it important to be at LWF to showcase our wines to the UK trade. Despite having some initial reservations about 2013, we were very pleased to have been there and felt our investment was well rewarded. The new team at Brintex have impressed us with the way in which they have communicated their plans for 2014 and the move back to Olympia. We were pleased to take advantage of booking now in order to have maximum say over our location in the Hall.”

The first phase of the booking system for the 2014, which was open to UK agents and importers who attended in 2013 went live last week, with the second phase opening later in the summer.
