PLB appoints new buying manager

UK wine importer PLB has confirmed the appointment of Neville Harris to its newly created role of buying manager.

PLB’s new buying manager, Neville Harris

Harris, who brings over 15 years’ experience in the UK wine trade, has previously held operations posts at Bibendum and most recently at Stratford’s Wine Agencies, which went into administration last year.

As commercial director of Stratfords, Harris not only oversaw management of the company’s agencies, but was responsible for its own branded projects and product development.

His new role will see Harris work alongside PLB buying director Paul Meihuizen in managing the company’s buying team, as well as taking on direct buying responsibility for a number of countries.

Welcoming Harris to the team, Meihuizen said: “Neville has a wealth of experience of buying and building producer relationships around the world – from product ranging to own-label sourcing – which will prove invaluable in working with PLB’s diverse and growing portfolio.”
