The new contract with London City Bond was the result of The Vintner’s continued expansion and a growing customer base.

The Vintner, which stocks only 100 wines at a time as part of its mission to provide “quality over quantity”, has given London City Bond the contract for its entire warehousing requirements as well as some aspects of its distribution service.

Julia Strachen, general manager for The Vintner said, “We are delighted to be working with London City Bond as our warehousing and logistics partner. With business growing at such pace, we were really looking for a warehousing and logistics partner who can provide us with the necessary flexibility required to meet the demands of our customers. London City Bond’s high levels of customer service is also very much in line with our own.”

Steve Selby, business development director at London City Bond, added: “Our contract win with The Vintner comes at an exciting time as we look to expand our customer base as part of our on-going growth plan. Our Barking depot is ideally located to service the South East, and through our extensive transport network we are able to offer the highest quality service across the whole of the UK.”

London City Bond was first established in 1870 and claims to be the UK’s largest dedicated wine and spirits logistics business.
