Nyetimber launches new label

Nyetimber English sparkling wine has unveiled a new look to give the brand a more upmarket feel.

Following over 20 years of using the same labelling and branding, Nyetimber has decided to modernise and refresh the brand.

CEO Eric Hereema said, “We have a clear vision: to make the finest English sparkling wine, one to rival the very best of contemporary English style to create packaging that hopefully reflects that. We have consciously set ourselves standards that go well beyond what is already in the market.”

The new bottle, designed by branding agent MadeThought, features a specially developed thick foil, deep embossing and a textured paper label.

Alongside the packaging will be a gift box, ice buckets and other accessories. An integrated marketing campaign will support this packaging launch.

With over 450 acres of vineyard, Nyetimber are by far the biggest producer in England, and as such have built a great reputation for consistently producing some of the top wines in the country.

This packaging rebrand comes on the back of further strides made by UK sparkling wines as Champagne varieties, rosé and riper styles emerged triumphant at the second annual “Judgement of Parsons Green” benchmark tasting.

English sparkling wine has also been tipped to make a major impact this year as one of the top 10 trends of 2012.
