MW joins Oxford Wine Company
Marcia Waters MW has joined the Oxford Wine Co as its new wine buyer.
Waters is currently chairman of the education and examination board at the Institute of Masters of Wine.
Having gained her MW in 1990, Waters began as a buyer for Victoria Wines before working as wine controller at Tesco, then as wine buyer at Rothschild Waddesdon.
She was also general manager at Anglo American Farms UK, which owns the South African Wineries Boschendal and Vergelegen.
Oxford Wine Co managing director Ted Sandbach said: “I am really pleased that Marcia has joined us. She will bring massive experience and a host of invaluable contacts.
“As well as a buying role she will involve herself in all aspects of the company and continue to undertake WSET education and private and corporate tastings.”
