New look for Symington’s single quinta Ports

Symington Family Estates has introduced new packaging for each of its single quinta Ports.

Graham’s Quinta dos Malvedos and Warre’s Quinta da Cavadinha Ports will now be presented in a new wooden box, crafted using natural materials.

The boxes are designed as tributes to of the family’s most famous vineyards.

The packaging for Graham’s Quinta dos Malvedos 1999 Vintage Port, featuring the historic Graham’s Quinta dos Malvedos’ Iron Gate, uses the traditional dark green of Graham’s with a natural mahogany colour for the wooden box.

The home of Graham’s Ports, the 70 hectares of Quinta dos Malvedos was acquired in 1890 and is situated on the north bank of River Douro.

The box for Warre’s Quinta da Cavadinha 1996 Vintage Port has a light wood frame with the “1670” date stamp, the year which marked the foundation of Warre’s, the oldest British Port house.

The 30.6ha Quinta has south-east facing vineyards which are a little higher than those situated by the Douro River and includes 19th century stone terraces with very old vines.
