Linley designs cabinet for first growths
Design house Linley has created a cabinet to hold each of Bordeaux’s five first growths.
Made from rosewood, ebony and satinwood, with a toughened glass top, fifty of the cases have been crafted and will retail for £12,800 each.
The price includes the wines, which have been supplied by The Antique Wine Company, and comprise Lafite Rothschild 2003; Latour 1982; Mouton Rothschild 1986; Margaux 2000, and Haut Brion 1989.
Each box features a commemorative numbered plaque and co-branded Linley / Antique Wine Company. They can be bought through the wine merchant.
Suede lines the interior of the box, which also features a removable stand with cut-out intersections that hold each bottle in place.
The Antique Wine Company and Linley have collaborated before to produce bespoke wine cabinets, most recently with the crafting of scaled down versions of Bordeaux’s most famous chåteaux.
