The Fine Wine Collection comes to the Fair

From the desert lands of the Limarí Valley, to the foothills of the Andes Mountains, the coastal vineyards of San Antonio and the beauty of Mendoza, the Fine Wine Collection brings together some of South America’s finest and most acclaimed wines.

The Concha y Toro-owned selection aims to bring the wines to the mainstream UK market, and will be available for tasting at the Fine Wine Fair in London this October.

Viña Cono Sur

Cono Sur Vineyards & Winery was founded in 1993, with the vision of producing premium, expressive and innovative wines conveying the spirit of the New World. The name refers to the company’s geographic position; it represents wines made in South America’s Southern Cone, on whose western edge lies Chile and its wine valleys.

The logo is a freehand drawing of the silhouette of South America. Right from the start Cono Sur applied new ideas and technology to winemaking traditional methods. The main goal, therefore, is to create expressive and innovative wines from the world’s southernmost land.

Viña Maipo

Viña Maipo began in 1948 in Maipo town, located in the Maipo Valley, situated 38km south of Santiago. Maipo town was founded in 1583, with the only purpose of defending the area from native’s attacks. As in every Chilean colonial town, social life was centred around the church, which gave life to the Viña Maipo image and legend. It has been said for centuries in Maipo town that its vineyards have been miraculously protected thanks to a tradition. Every year, people gather around Maipo church to pray for the safeguard of their lands. Surprisingly the vineyards appear to have been protected ever since. In the late 60’s Viña Maipo became part of Concha y Toro.
Viña Canepa

Viña Canepa’s history recounts three generations with a strong Italian heritage – the work of visionary men able to fashion their terroir into a winery of historical importance in Chile. Currently, Canepa winery holds a leading position in global markets based on its solid sales & marketing structure and a strategic distribution network in each local market. Today its products are sold in the world’s most important markets and are present across all five continents.

Viña Maycas del Limarí

Viña Maycas del Limarí is located Northern Chile. Centuries ago, the Inca Empire reached this territory lured by its minerals and precious stones. Nowadays, the same soils are bringing new life to Chilean viticulture and winemaking.

Viñedos y Bodegas Trivento

Trivento has created a prestigious portfolio of wines enjoyed by the most demanding palates. With continued investment in technology, infrastructure and customer service, Trivento has established itself as a leading exporter of bottled wine in Argentina. José Jottar, general manager, says: “Grounding ourselves in each of our achievements, we endeavor to pursue our dream: to establish Trivento as the reference brand of Argentine wine.”
