Quo Vadis to reopen after Soho fire
Quo Vadis is set to reopen after being forced to close for two weeks as a result of the Soho fire, which broke out on 10 July.
Sam and Eddie Hart’s latest venture, which the brothers bought only last year, suffered smoke damage after the office building opposite burnt down.
A spokeswoman for Quo Vadis confirmed: “Due to the recent fire on Dean Street, Quo Vadis Restaurant will unfortunately be closed until Monday 27 July to allow time for smoke damage to the building’s interior to be treated.” The venue’s members club and dining rooms are not due to reopen until 3 August.
A message on the Quo Vadis website recommends would-be customers to switch their reservation to Fino, another of the Hart’s restaurants, which is located on nearby Charlotte Street. Meanwhile Quo Vadis club members are being accommodated temporarily at The Groucho Club.

This time of year is traditionally one of the busiest periods for London’s restaurants. Nearby Signor Zilli was less affected by the fire, re-opening a few days later, but has still estimated the cost of the incident to its business at £50,000.
