Young’s help old

Young’s pubs in the South of England are supporting Help the Aged this Christmas. The pub chain is holding a fundraising campaign that will help the charity to provide Christmas dinner for over 12,500 elderly people at local day centres.

The campaign is being highlighted by Christmas cards placed on every table in participating pubs, providing details of the initiative and inviting customers to donate £1. Chief executive Stephen Goodyear explains, “Young’s recognises the plight faced by disadvantaged older people, especially at Christmas.”
Commenting on the campaign, Help the Aged senior corporate partnerships manager Jasmine Barratt said, “We know that over one million older people spend Christmas day alone, so we’re delighted that Young’s has offered to help us raise money to address this important and emotive issue … With the invaluable help and generosity of Young’s customers, we’ll really be able to make a difference to the lives of thousands of older people this Christmas.”
