Simply Italian GREAT WINES – 30 September

 

Get ready to experience the very best of Italian winemaking as Simply Italian returns to London on 30th September for its much-anticipated seventh edition. This vibrant celebration of Italy’s wine culture promises an unforgettable day of tastings, learning, and connection with some of the country’s most passionate producers.

What to Expect:
This edition will bring together nearly thirty wineries from across Italy, including the celebrated regions of Friuli, Piedmont, Veneto, Lombardy, and Tuscany. Highlights include the remarkable presence of UNI.DOC Friuli Venezia Giulia, showcasing wines from a delegation of twenty producers; I Vini del Piemonte, represented by five outstanding wineries; and the elegant sparkling wines of Franciacorta.

Three Expert-Led Masterclasses

  • Consorzio Pinot Grigio delle Venezie – Discover 8 expressions of one of Italy’s most famous varietals.
  • UNI.DOC – UNI.DOC Friuli Venezia Giulia – Taste 6 wines from this distinctive northern region.
  • Federdoc – Learn about the importance of Italian PDO wines, focusing on protection, quality, and identity through 5 carefully selected labels.

Walk-Around Tasting
Explore wines from approximately 30 leading Italian wineries, including the exciting participation of:

  • UNI.DOC Friuli Venezia Giulia – Showcasing wines from a group of 20 outstanding wineries. Established in 2012, UNI.DOC represents all the DOC wine consortia of Friuli Venezia Giulia—over a thousand companies—promoting the region’s high-quality wines and highlighting its diverse terroirs.
  • I Vini del Piemonte – Featuring 5 producers: Villa Doria, Vinory, Rizieri, Luigi Vico, and Cantina Marsaglia. Established in 2010, this consortium unites over 250 small and medium-sized producers from Langhe, Roero, Monferrato, and Northern Piedmont.
