Tasting notes:
Good colour depth, with aromas of biscuit and beeswax with ripe apple and a hint of coffee bean. On the palate, caramel, baked apple and brown bread lead into a honeyed edge before a fresh, zesty finish – neither too firm nor too dry. The mousse is creamy, and there is pleasing complexity from both ripe fruit and autolytic character, with a touch of bitter lemon to refresh. Patrick Schmitt MW
