Tasting notes:

The Greve Gran Selezione comes from the \'Home\' vineyards in Ruffoli, rising up to 550m above Greve-in-Chianti on galestro, sandstone and clay soils. The breezes and sunlight combination give wines of remarkable precision, as is this example. Surprisingly deep purple-ruby in hue, the wine has morello cherry and blackberry with violet and allspice overtones. Richly-fruited, the palate has dense silky-textured tannins and brisk acidity to support the concentrated flavours. A perfect wine for guinea fowl with fennel, onion and black olives.
