Tasting notes:

A fine, bone dry fizz from the biodynamic house of Leclerc Briant that spends a year ageing under water off the coast in Brittany. It has a pale peach appearance with amber glints, and a yeasty, salty scent, complemented by lots of ripe and then crisp apple flavours on the palate. Beyond these are notes of almonds, sour dough and chalk, with some fine phenolics giving a dry finish, a sensation bolstered by its very low dosage. The second release after the 2018 vintage, this Chardonnay dominant rosé from the outstanding 2019 harvest is super refreshing, complex, and full of character. (Patrick Schmitt MW)
