Tasting notes:

The grapes for this wine come from three of De Bortoli’s historic vineyards on the eastern edge of Rutherglen: Melville’s, Shelley’s and Burgoyne’s. The sites are renowned for producing savoury character, well-suited to the production of rosé wines. This example, very, very pale vieux-rose in colour, has bright red berry fruit with floral notes and gentle creamy oak. Dry, the palate flavours match the aromas and are balanced by brisk acidity with hints of baking spices and linen texture. A really attractive wine that will pair nicely with a Caesar salad and seared salmon. (Patricia Stefanowicz MW)
