This wine presents an inviting bouquet of black cherry complemented by subtle hints of nutmeg and allspice, showcasing a commendable concentration of fruit and depth. The nose is characterised by dark cherry jam. On the palate, the wine reveals fresh acidity and a well-integrated structure, supported by full yet sophisticated tannins that reflect its old-school South African roots. While the tannins exhibit a slightly under-ripe, gritty quality, they contribute to the wine's attractive rustic character.
