The Hasher family farm includes 180ha in the Upper Hemel-en-Aar de valley and, besides grapes, includes 14 species of conservation concern as part of the WWF Conservation Champion programme. This wine exhibits a quite deep ruby colour and vibrant morello cherry fruit accented by toasty oak. Sweet-fruited, the medium-bodied palate is supported by racy acidity and dense velvet-textured tannins with lovely varietal definition and baking spice and cardamom undertones. The wine is an excellent partner for rotisserie chicken and hasselback potatoes. [Patricia Stefanowicz MW]
