Tasting notes:
Te Wāhi means \'the place\' in te reo Māori and reflects the importance of terroir and of Cloudy Bay finding a \'second home\' in Central Otago. Medium-deep ruby, the wine is a gemstone with bright red cherry, strawberry and cranberry fruit with accents of sous-bois and smoky oak. Quite full, but poised, the palate is layered and complex with lively acidity and dense velvet tannins adding structure. Mouth-watering on the finish and almost Grenache-like, so it definitely matches \'sunny-cuisine\', perhaps crispy duck, orange and noodle salad. [Patricia Stefanowicz MW]
