Tasting notes:
Cantine Maschio\'s \'modern history\' began in 1973 when Bonaventura Maschio turned his family\\\'s century-old distillery into a winery to produce the local wine of Valdobbiadene-Coneglio, Prosecco. This wine, a Spumante, is a gentle wine, showing a very pale lemon-green hue with small bubbles and apple, pear and greengage fruit and a hint of fresh white bread. Off-dry (13g/l r.s.) and light-bodied, the palate flavours mimic the aromatics with extra notes of lemon-lime zests and are balanced by very crisp acidity and brittle mousse texture. Nicely-defined and very drinkable, the wine works well as an aperitif but also with lemon cake. [Patricia Stefanowicz MW]
