Chalky and fresh on the nose, with a touch of hazelnut and pastry. The palate is firm, intense and clean, with lemon, apple, a subtle nutty note and a bitter, zesty edge. Bone dry with a chalky-fresh, firm finish. A fine and extremely rare example of pure Meunier Champagne. (Patrick Schmitt MW)
